Warranty period

Our new products come with a 2-year warranty. The same 2 years apply to every part we replace during a cell replacement (re-celling). On a number of batteries we replace other components besides the cell pack, such as the circuit board. Those parts fall under the warranty period too.

If a product is repaired or replaced within the warranty period, the warranty period does not start again.

We guarantee that the nominal capacity matches the capacity you ordered. We give no warranty on the number of kilometres you can ride, because that distance depends heavily on a great many different factors.

Proof of warranty

With the products we deliver you receive an invoice by email and another in the parcel. They match a sticker on the battery. These also serve as the proof of warranty for your purchase.

When does the right to warranty lapse within the period?

The right to warranty lapses if:

  • The customer does not contact us straight away within the stated warranty period, so that KWS Seuren is not given the opportunity to remedy the defect.
  • Third parties open the casing or make changes to the re-celled battery without permission from KWS Seuren.
  • The battery becomes deeply discharged through incorrect use. This can damage the battery.
  • There is water damage that cannot be traced back to an assembly error. A re-celled battery and a new battery are splash-proof.

Products sent in under warranty

If a thorough inspection shows that the product is not defective, we will contact you and talk it through with you. In that case we charge only a small fee of €25 to cover the shipping and the inspection.
