Couldn't find your battery in our e-bike battery webshop? And it isn't in the list below of batteries we cannot re-cell either? Then take the following steps.
Take a few clear photos of the whole battery. The more photos, the better.
Gather as much information about the battery as you can, along with a description of the problem.

E-bike batteries that cannot be re-celled or repaired
KWS Seuren specialises in re-celling and repairing hundreds of different types of battery. In a few cases a cell replacement or repair is not possible. That comes down to the way the battery was designed.
Reasons why a battery cannot be restored:
The battery was potted with a glue-like compound during production, so parts cannot be replaced or repaired
Software protection can mean the bike no longer recognises the battery once the work is done
A BMS (Battery Management System) that was designed to be too sensitive and fails beyond repair somewhere along the way

We re-cell and repair hundreds of different types of battery, and we look for a solution for every customer. There are a few situations, though, in which a cell replacement or repair is not possible. The cause lies in the way the battery was designed and built: it was potted with glue during production, its software protection gets in the way, or its BMS (Battery Management System) is so sensitive that it cannot be restored during the cell replacement.
If your battery falls into this category and cannot be re-celled or repaired, we will look with you at the options for a new battery that suits what you need.
