How does it work?
1. Find your battery in the webshop
Look up your battery in the webshop. We are still working on making the list of batteries complete, so if yours is not listed, please get in touch with us. We will then work out together which battery is the right one.
2. Choose the capacity you want
You can choose between several capacities. A higher capacity gives you more range. It does not put a heavier load on the bike; you simply ride further on one charge. We can often double the capacity of your battery, because KWS Seuren uses the latest cell technology.
Example: An original battery often has a capacity of 10 Ah, which took you, say, 40 km. If you choose a cell replacement to 20 Ah, you can ride 80 km afterwards, because there is twice as much energy in your battery.
3. Place your order
You have found your battery and chosen the capacity that suits you best. To place the order, add the battery to your basket. Then go to the basket to complete your order. There you fill in your details and choose one of the payment methods.
4. Receive a shipping label by email
Once your order is complete, we email you a shipping label. This applies to shipments within the Netherlands. Sending from another country? Contact us first. Stick this label on the box your battery is in. Please send the charger along too, so that we can test it as well.
5. Pack your battery
Make sure you have the following:
- Battery
- Charger
- Key, if your battery has one
- The form, printed and filled in
- The shipping label we sent you, on the box
6. Hand in your battery
You receive the shipping instructions by email. Once your battery has arrived with us, we get to work on it. It is re-celled, tested on charging and discharging, and then charged again.
7. We check your battery and charger for the problems you reported
We check the battery and charger for the problems you described. If our test results do not match them, the fault may be in the bike itself. When we find that, we contact you before we go ahead with the cell replacement. This check is free if you go ahead with a repair or a cell replacement.
8. After the cell replacement we send your battery back to the address you gave
Your battery is re-celled at our own premises. For us, a cell replacement means replacing the entire battery pack. No cells are reused. Where possible we replace the electronics too, so you can be sure your battery is as good as new.
You can of course also come and collect the battery yourself at our address.
How does it work?
A cell replacement gives a worn e-bike battery a second life. We replace the cells and in some cases the electronics as well, so your battery pack is rebuilt with the latest cell technology and high-quality cells. The original casing stays, and only the worn parts are replaced. Before the cell replacement starts we inspect your battery carefully, so that we only re-cell batteries that really need it. After the cell replacement we test your battery again to make sure it will last for years.
This is how the process works:
Find and choose: Find your battery in the webshop and choose the capacity that suits you.
Place your order: Add the battery to your basket, complete the order and choose a payment method.
Receive the shipping label: Once your order is complete, we email you a shipping label so that you can send your battery to us safely. This applies to shipments within the Netherlands. Sending from another country? Contact us first.
Pack and send: Get your battery ready, together with the charger and any keys. Stick the shipping label on the box and send it to us.
Hand it in: Follow the shipping instructions in the email. As soon as we receive your battery, we start on the cell replacement and the tests that go with it.
Check against your description: We check your battery and charger for the problems you reported. If we find something different, we contact you before we go ahead with the cell replacement.
Back to you: After the cell replacement we send your battery back to the address you gave. It comes back with new cells and a new service life ahead of it.
Whether you have your battery sent back or collect it yourself, a re-celled battery is good for many more kilometres. The cell replacement comes with a 2-year warranty.
