Why cell replacement?

A cell replacement means that the worn battery pack inside your e-bike battery is replaced with a newly assembled battery pack.

We test your e-bike battery before we re-cell it. That way we never re-cell a battery that is still good. If the test shows that your battery is in good condition, we talk it through with you. You may need a software update, or the circuit board in the battery may be faulty. It can also be that something in the bike itself is draining your battery faster than it should.

For older e-bikes, a new replacement battery is hard or impossible to find. A cell replacement solves that. It also means you do not end up buying an older battery model that has been sitting on a shelf for years, with outdated technology and a capacity that has already dropped.

We use the latest cell technology, so we can often fit a higher capacity, and with it more range, into your battery. With some batteries we can even double the capacity. For a small extra charge you get a lot more capacity in your e-bike battery. Your e-bike then has more range than it would have had with a newly bought battery.
This is possible because the newer cells have a higher energy density. For the same reason, some batteries also end up lighter. The high-quality cells we use give your e-bike battery more range and a longer service life.
