Which brand is my bike?
Look on the frame, often on the rear tube or under the saddle. The model name tells you a lot too.

Why does a duo bike battery wear out sooner?
Two adults, a heavy frame, a lot of pulling away at junctions. A duo bike draws noticeably more current per kilometre than an ordinary e-bike. So the cells rack up charge cycles faster, and after a few years you see the range halve.
Winter storage does the rest. A battery left empty in a cold shed for four months sometimes drops so low that the charger no longer recognises it. While the bike is laid up, top the battery up every three months, indoors and at room temperature.
Do you manage several duo bikes?
We work for foundations that run duo bikes and for suppliers under the Wmo, the Dutch Social Support Act. Number your batteries, write on each label which bike it belongs to, and send the chargers along. Then you get them back sorted by bike as well. Is someone riding a bike provided through the Wmo in the Netherlands? Then the Wmo supplier arranges the repair, not the rider.
Frequently asked questions
That depends on the type. For Van Raam Cube and Slim batteries we sometimes have refurbished or new ones; the product page tells you. For Heinzmann batteries that is not possible, but we do re-cell them to 16.7 Ah.
Only if the voltage, the connector and the communication with the motor match exactly. Otherwise nothing happens, or the motor controller goes into fault mode. So never have a battery from another brand fitted without checking first.
No. The price depends on the battery type and the capacity you choose, not on the bike. Most e-bike battery cell replacements cost between €350 and €500.
In the Netherlands, the carrier collects it free of charge after you place your order. Outside the Netherlands, contact us first. Put the charger in with it and, if the battery has a lock, the key in a sealed envelope.
