Frequently asked questions
The price appears at the top of this page as soon as you select Battery revision (our full cell replacement) and a capacity. Shipping is included, and so is the intake test: you do not pay for it separately when we re-cell your battery. If the intake test shows that something else is needed, you get a new proposal first. Only if you turn that down do we charge the €95 inspection fee.
In a cell replacement we swap every cell in your battery for a new one. The casing and the connector stay yours, so the battery fits back in its place afterwards. Before we start, we run an intake test. If the problem is somewhere else, say the charging port or the electronics, you hear that first and get a proposal that fits. KWS Seuren has been re-celling batteries since 2017.
Register your battery on this page and follow the steps at checkout; we arrange the collection and send you the tracking details by email, with the time the courier will come. Put in the box: the printed insert form, the battery, the charger, and the key in a sealed envelope if your battery has a lock (do not tape it to the battery). Without the charger and the key we cannot test your battery fully. Your bike stays at home. Ask the courier for a proof of handover; that is your proof of shipping.
Two years. It covers the new cell pack and every part we replace during the cell replacement, including a new circuit board. We guarantee the capacity you order, not a number of kilometres. The full terms are in our warranty conditions.
That depends on how busy the workshop is and on what we find in the intake test, so we do not quote a fixed number of days here. The current lead time is on our lead-time page.

Cowboy Classic, Cruiser and Cruiser ST: new cells in the D3610CB
Cowboy fitted the D3610CB battery to the Classic, the Cruiser and the Cruiser ST. It is a 36V pack with 10 Ah. When the range on your Cowboy has dropped, KWS opens your own casing, replaces the cells and closes it again. The Battery revision option on this page is that cell replacement.
For this pack we re-cell at 10 Ah, the same capacity it had when new. The price is shown above once you have selected it. Before anything is replaced we test the cells and the electronics, because a Cowboy battery that will not charge is not always a cell problem.
Is the fault in the board or the connector? Choose Battery repair and we send a proposal first. The new cells carry a two-year warranty.
