What is new?
The original indicator and circuit board of QWIC Premium batteries often develop faults or stop working after a while. That is a nuisance, because the battery itself usually still works fine. Only the display is no longer right. With the indicator and circuit board we developed ourselves, we now have a lasting solution for that.
The benefits
A reliable display of the battery's status
Developed entirely in-house by KWS Seuren engineers
Ready to fit during a cell replacement or repair of a QWIC Premium battery
A more sustainable and cheaper alternative to replacing the whole battery
This shows once again that a cell replacement is more than replacing cells. It is also about smart electronics, and about making batteries better and more sustainable.

About the QWIC Premium battery
Battery type: many QWIC Premium e-bikes use a 36V lithium-ion battery (usually 417Wh or 540Wh).
Position: integrated in the frame, depending on the model.
Use: these batteries are popular in city and touring bikes and strike a good balance between capacity and weight.
Charge cycles: on average 500 to 800 charge cycles before you notice any degradation.
Common problems with QWIC Premium batteries
Loss of capacity: the bike covers fewer kilometres per charge.
Faulty indicator: the lights show nothing or the wrong information.
Circuit board or electronics faults: the battery loses communication with the bike.
Connector wear: the charging port or the connections no longer work properly.
Deep discharge: the battery will no longer charge after standing unused for too long.
