Shimano SM-BTE80 charging adapter
The SM-BTE80 lets you charge a Shimano Steps battery off the bike. It connects a charger from the EC-E6000 series, such as the EC-E6000, EC-E6002 or EC-E6010, to a BT-E8030 or BT-E8035 battery.
That is useful in winter. A bike parked outside or in a cold shed is not a good place to charge, and with this adapter you take the battery indoors and charge it there.
Shimano makes several adapters for different battery types, and this one only fits the two batteries named above. Check the type number on your battery before you order. You receive the SM-BTE80 as a new part.
