Some batteries are built in a way that rules out repair. The cells may be potted in glue, the casing may not open without being destroyed, or the software may refuse the battery once work has been done on it. Sometimes the BMS fails for good during the job. If this page lists a new or refurbished battery, that is your replacement. Sparta PMU3 GEN2 10Ah: a potted battery we cannot re-cell
The PMU3 GEN2 with 10 Ah is the carrier battery of the Sparta ION RX and ION RXS and of the Batavus Stelvio and Ventoux. Sparta cast the inside of this pack in resin to keep out water and dust. Good for the bike, bad for repair: the cells cannot be taken out without destroying the housing.
That is why no service option is listed on this page. A cell replacement needs access to the cells, and a potted pack does not give it. We do not take this battery in for re-celling, and we would rather say so than let you send it for nothing.
