Some batteries are built in a way that rules out repair. The cells may be potted in glue, the casing may not open without being destroyed, or the software may refuse the battery once work has been done on it. Sometimes the BMS fails for good during the job. If this page lists a new or refurbished battery, that is your replacement. Sparta PMU3 GEN2 36V carrier battery

Sparta fitted the PMU3 GEN2, a 36V carrier battery with 14 Ah, to the Sparta ION and also supplied it for the Batavus Stelvio, the Batavus Ventoux and the Koga E-Deluxe. Its manufacturer code is 29111130.

This pack is fully encapsulated: the cells and electronics are cast into a solid, waterproof compound. That protects the inside against moisture and dust, but it also means we cannot open the battery to fit new cells. For that reason none of the services can be selected on this page at the moment.
