Frequently asked questions
No. Second-hand means resold as it was. A refurbished battery has been tested by us, repaired where needed and measured again afterwards. It comes with a 24-month warranty.
The price appears at the top of this page as soon as you select Battery revision (our full cell replacement) and a capacity. Shipping is included, and so is the intake test: you do not pay for it separately when we re-cell your battery. If the intake test shows that something else is needed, you get a new proposal first. Only if you turn that down do we charge the €95 inspection fee.
In a cell replacement we swap every cell in your battery for a new one. The casing and the connector stay yours, so the battery fits back in its place afterwards. Before we start, we run an intake test. If the problem is somewhere else, say the charging port or the electronics, you hear that first and get a proposal that fits. KWS Seuren has been re-celling batteries since 2017.
Register your battery on this page and follow the steps at checkout; we arrange the collection and send you the tracking details by email, with the time the courier will come. Put in the box: the printed insert form, the battery, the charger, and the key in a sealed envelope if your battery has a lock (do not tape it to the battery). Without the charger and the key we cannot test your battery fully. Your bike stays at home. Ask the courier for a proof of handover; that is your proof of shipping.
Two years. It covers the new cell pack and every part we replace during the cell replacement, including a new circuit board. We guarantee the capacity you order, not a number of kilometres. The full terms are in our warranty conditions.

Watt Mobility 36V V2: re-cell at 10 Ah or a refurbished pack
This page is for the V2 version of the Watt Mobility 36V battery. When the pack runs flat long before your ride is done, you have two ways to get your range back here, both at 10 Ah.
Battery revision is a full cell replacement in your own casing at 10 Ah, with a two-year warranty on the new cells. You keep your housing and connector, and the pack goes back on the bike as it came off. The Refurbished Battery option is a ready 10 Ah pack, useful if you would rather not wait for your own battery. Select either option above and its price appears.
