When is exchange suitable?
- for commonly used battery types that are in stock;
- when your organisation needs a working replacement battery quickly;
- in fixed arrangements for care, fleets or dealers;
- when the old battery becomes part of a controlled return process.
Stock and compatibility come first
Not every model is available as a refurbished battery. We first check type, connector variant, technical compatibility and stock. Only then do we offer exchange.
In practice: care and insurance
For a mobility aid provider, refurbished supply is part of the battery service for several branches. For an insurer we supply a refurbished replacement battery for suitable claims.
In both cases exchange is mainly a process solution: a suitable battery back quickly, while the returned battery goes back into our process in a controlled way. Read more about our approach for care and mobility aids and insurers.

Frequently asked questions
Not necessarily with exchange. You receive a tested refurbished battery of the same suitable type.
No. Availability depends on stock, housing, connector variant and technical compatibility.
It goes back into our process. We assess whether it can be repaired, whether usable parts can be reused or whether another solution is more suitable.
Yes. The warranty follows the KWS terms and the agreements on your business account for the product concerned.
Want to know whether exchange is possible for your battery type?
Send us the battery type, the connector variant and the quantities. You can also read about cell replacement and the business portal, or see our approach for lease and fleet.
