Put in the box: the printed insert form, the battery, the charger, and the key in a sealed envelope if your battery has a lock (do not tape it to the battery). Without the charger and the key we cannot test your battery fully. Your bike stays at home. Ask the courier for a proof of handover; that is your proof of shipping.

Yes, on the work we carried out and on the parts we replaced. The warranty does not cover parts of the battery we did not work on. If we repair the charging port, for example, the cells are not included. The full terms are in our warranty conditions.

Sparta PMU4 V2 8.8 Ah: repair, no new cells
The PMU4 V2 is a 36V Sparta battery with 8.8 Ah, also found on Batavus and Koga e-bikes, including the Sparta ION RX, the Sparta M8i, the Batavus Wayz E-go and the Koga E-tour. Its cells are fully potted in a sealed compound. That protects them from moisture and dust, but it also means the pack cannot be opened for cell replacement.
What KWS can do is repair it: recover a pack that discharged too deeply, replace the BMS or circuit board, fix the charging port. We test the cells and the BMS, you get a proposal with the price, and we start after your approval. Should you decline, we send the battery back and charge only the inspection fee stated on this page.
