If you accept, you pay for the repair and no inspection fee. If there is nothing we can do for your battery, it costs you nothing.
Register your battery on this page and follow the steps at checkout; we arrange the collection and send you the tracking details by email, with the time the courier will come. Put in the box: the printed insert form, the battery, the charger, and the key in a sealed envelope if your battery has a lock (do not tape it to the battery). Without the charger and the key we cannot test your battery fully. Your bike stays at home. Ask the courier for a proof of handover; that is your proof of shipping.
Expect approximately 10 workdays from the moment your battery is booked in. The exact time depends on what we find in the intake test. You can follow the status in your own account, and the current lead time is on our lead-time page.
Yes, on the work we carried out and on the parts we replaced. The warranty does not cover parts of the battery we did not work on. If we repair the charging port, for example, the cells are not included. The full terms are in our warranty conditions.

Shimano BT-E8036 17.4 Ah battery: repair or new
The Shimano BT-E8036 is a 36V 17.4 Ah battery found on more than 150 models, including the Alutech eFanes, Author Elevation and Author Elevation ASL. We are an independent workshop, not Shimano. Cell replacement is not offered for this pack, as the Battery revision option reads Not available.
Two routes remain. Battery repair brings back a pack that has been drained too deep and replaces a faulty BMS or circuit board or a worn charging port. We test it first and send a proposal with the price; if you decline, it comes back for the inspection fee stated on this page.
