Some batteries are built in a way that rules out repair. The cells may be potted in glue, the casing may not open without being destroyed, or the software may refuse the battery once work has been done on it. Sometimes the BMS fails for good during the job. If this page lists a new or refurbished battery, that is your replacement. Compatible battery for Shimano STEPS BT-E6000/6001
This is a new 36V carrier battery that replaces a Shimano STEPS BT-E6000 or BT-E6001. It holds 13.5 Ah and is a compatible pack, not an original Shimano part.
It is listed for around 50 bikes, including the BH Bikes Steps Diamond, the Gazelle Orange C330 HMS, the Raleigh Detour iE and the Sparta Mojo Electric.
