Frequently asked questions
No. Second-hand means resold as it was. A refurbished battery has been tested by us, repaired where needed and measured again afterwards. It comes with a 24-month warranty.
The price appears at the top of this page as soon as you select Battery revision (our full cell replacement) and a capacity. Shipping is included, and so is the intake test: you do not pay for it separately when we re-cell your battery. If the intake test shows that something else is needed, you get a new proposal first. Only if you turn that down do we charge the €95 inspection fee.
In a cell replacement we swap every cell in your battery for a new one. The casing and the connector stay yours, so the battery fits back in its place afterwards. Before we start, we run an intake test. If the problem is somewhere else, say the charging port or the electronics, you hear that first and get a proposal that fits. KWS Seuren has been re-celling batteries since 2017.
Register your battery on this page and follow the steps at checkout; we arrange the collection and send you the tracking details by email, with the time the courier will come. Put in the box: the printed insert form, the battery, the charger, and the key in a sealed envelope if your battery has a lock (do not tape it to the battery). Without the charger and the key we cannot test your battery fully. Your bike stays at home. Ask the courier for a proof of handover; that is your proof of shipping.
Two years. It covers the new cell pack and every part we replace during the cell replacement, including a new circuit board. We guarantee the capacity you order, not a number of kilometres. The full terms are in our warranty conditions.
That depends on how busy the workshop is and on what we find in the intake test, so we do not quote a fixed number of days here. The current lead time is on our lead-time page.

Trek built the TQ HPR 360 v01 into five models in our catalogue, including the Fuel EXe, the Domane+ SLR, the FX+ 7 and the Slash+. The label shows part number 339283.01 and EAN 4260738170215; from the factory the pack holds 6.4 Ah.
Two routes are open. Battery revision is a full cell replacement in your own casing at 7 Ah, a little more than the original, with a two-year warranty on the new cells. The Refurbished Battery option is a ready pack of 10 Ah, for when you would rather not do without your bike while your own battery is being worked on.
