The challenge

Defective customer batteries come back with different fault patterns. Replacing by default is not always necessary, and not always possible either. Dealers and end customers do expect an aftersales solution that works.

The approach

Winfield registers the batteries and sends them to KWS. We test each battery, report the finding and the proposed repair and, after approval, carry out the agreed work.

In nine consecutive months that came to 24 orders with 53 batteries. The work ranged from electronics and fuses to charge ports, deep discharge and cell replacement. For part of the electronics we use a technical solution of our own.

The result

A recurring international aftersales flow in which not every battery has to be replaced. Different types of fault go through one technical process.

Why this case matters

This is the clearest practical example of technical battery aftersales behind a brand or importer.
