Not charging, an error code, no communication or cutting out: it can be the cells, but also the wiring, connectors, the BMS or other electronics. A diagnosis first shows where the problem really is.
At component level, where that is justified
For selected boards we repair or replace individual components. With programmed, protected or closed electronics there is sometimes no access. We do not bypass safety functions to make a repair possible.
Our own technical solutions
When there is enough volume or a technical need, we develop a test set-up, a repair method or replacement electronics for a specific battery type. We have done so for batteries from Van Raam, Bafang 43V, QWIC Premium, Flyer E3 and Gazelle Innergy, among others.
In practice: 782 VanMoof batteries
In 21 months we handled 782 VanMoof batteries, 637 of them through 16 business customers. Much of the work involved SMD fuses and electronics. Where that was the problem, the good cells stayed in place.
