Why outsource battery work?
Modern e-bike batteries call for test equipment, brand knowledge, experience with BMSs and software, and a safe way of working with lithium. You do not build that up alongside your normal workshop work. We are an extension of your workshop for the battery, while you remain the point of contact for the customer and do the work on the bike.
How do you send a battery in?
- Register the battery through your business account, under your own reference.
- Ship the battery or use the collection arrangement that applies to your account.
- We do the intake and the diagnosis.
- We tell you what is wrong, what the repair options are and what it costs if approval is needed.
- We carry out the repair, cell replacement or another suitable solution.
- The battery gets a final test and goes back to your shop.
For business accounts we can agree a diagnosis time. Around three working days is achievable when your account and volume are set up for it.
What can you leave to us?
- having capacity and condition assessed;
- having cell balance checked;
- faults in BMS and electronics;
- broken charge ports or bike-side connectors;
- deeply discharged batteries;
- replacement of the cell pack;
- a suitable refurbished battery;
- warranty cases;
- technical substantiation for insurance claims;
- older or less common battery models.
The battery workshop behind the shop
Dealers with several branches send their battery work to us routinely. It covers repairs, warranty cases, quotes, returns and insurance claims. The branch remains the point of contact for the rider, we do the battery diagnosis and the repair.
Does a battery come in through an insurer? Then we follow the process agreed with that insurer. How that works is described under battery assessment for insurers.
